Greek Dance

The purpose of the Greek Dance program/ministry at St. Katherine's is to bring the youth and young adults of our parish together in Orthodox Christian fellowship and offer them an opportunity to live, learn, and experience the Hellenic culture through dance.

Our mission includes:

  • To praise God through song and dance as stated in Psalm 150, “Praise Him with timbrel and dance; praise Him with strings and pipe!”

  • Develop an awareness and appreciation for the Orthodox Faith, as well as Hellenic culture and its traditions.

  • To promote a feeling of unity, family, and community in our youth.

  • To teach our participants the values of teamwork and commitment.

  • To establish the principles of Diakonia (service) and Koinonia (community).
